NPC projects with a total cost of $ 350 million

More than $ 350 million investment is needed to finish NPC comprehensive projects by 2012, the plan includes two phases, with phase (1) construction being completed in 2008, containing 10 farms having 247 ponds covering a total area of 2500 hectares, at a cost reaching $ 200 million, and with a production capacity of 13.000 tons of shrimp annually.
NPC has started Phase (2) construction in 2008, formed mainly of 16 farms having 360 ponds covering a total area of 3400 hectares, at a cost reaching $ 150 million, and with a production capacity of 18.000 tons of shrimp annually.
Total production capacity after the completion of the project is expected to reach up to 33.000 tons of shrimp annually.
NPC aims to reach a production capacity of 45.000 tons of shrimp per year after successful tests of increasing the density of shrimp per square meter.
