Rope / line cutter shaft protection – quicKutter™ line, rope and wire cutting systems for all shaft sizes. As used by the Royal Navy and the RNLI. This new design of rope cutter (shaver) has replaced Spurs or Stripper scissor cutters in a number of vessels. First used by Tuna boats in Western Australia in 2003.

Unllike other cutter designs which have been around since the 80′s there has never been any reported cavitation despite being regularly fitted to vessels that operate at over 35knots. The cutter has no moving parts and presents a very small surface area to the water flow. The cutter and all of its parts are streamlined.

Used extensively by commercial fishing vessels world wide, Long liners, trawlers or pot fishing. Several fast cat fishing boats have reported improved performance and reliability over scissor or disc types of cutters.

Advanced plain bearing materials for shaft, rudder, crane, derrick, conveyors. Lloyds approved up to 0.55m shaft. High load and wide temperature range. Dry, oil or water lubricated.
