Business Description

“Sustainable fish from gods Island” Gigha halibut produces atlantic halibut on the small community owned Island of Gigha off the West of Scotland. The company accounts for 80% of the scottish production.

The fish are hand reared using an organic diet. Renewable power drive the pumps that draw water from the atlantic into the ongrowing tanks.
With low stocking densities and high flow rates the fish thrive.

The rearing system results in superb quality fish which range from 1-7kg. These are gutted and packed in ice in poly boxes of 12 or 25kg .
Fish are generally harvested on a monday and delivered to customers on Wednesday.

As wild Atlantic halibut is now an endangered species Gigha halibut offers the most discerning of diners around the world that guilt free alternative with truly sustainable fish. .
